Monroe County Record Contacts
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Jail Bureau records route and the jail information line answer different questions. The County FOIL route is the records-request path. The jail does not promise public booking-photo disclosure, so a request may be denied or redacted under New York law.

Choose the Responsible Office
Start with the agency that owns the information. A jail report, police report, court file, state-prison result, and federal-custody result are separate records.
- Use the Monroe County lookup path for MCJ roster, admissions, releases, county FOIL, and the official record distinctions.
- For Rochester Police arrest information, call 311 inside Rochester or (585) 428-5990 outside the city. RPD’s Warrants Unit is (585) 428-6571.
- For Greece Police, use headquarters at (585) 865-9200. For Irondequoit Police, use (585) 336-6000. Call 911 for emergencies.
- Use NY Courts e-Courts and the appropriate Monroe County clerk route for case appearances or a certificate of disposition. Court records, not custody reports, provide the later case result.
- Use the New York State DOCCS lookup for covered state-prison custody, or the federal BOP locator for federal custody. Neither is a Monroe County booking-photo source.
